BANKS WITH OLD U.S. POST OFFICE BOX FACE PLATES

These banks are turned from solid blocks of various woods. I use Oak, Black Walnut, Maple, and other local woods that I find. The Banks are finished with several coats of wipe on polyurethane.

The doors are old U.S. Post Office Box fronts. I strip the doors of all dirt and paint, down to the brass. Then I buff them to a bright finish. Over time the doors will darken, giving them an authentic antique look. Each door has a combination that allows the bank to be opened.
